Words from someone who attended the Alpha Course
Hello, my name is Michelle. I attended the Alpha Course at the Salvation Army church just over two years ago.
My first thought was, ‘I don't know enough, I cannot do a course about God!’
What was my experience of Alpha?
The best way for me to express this is how it allowed me to further explore how, even why, God accepted me without question and in turn showed me a better understanding of life...his life. I would encourage everyone to consider attending this course, bring your mum, dad or a friend its not something to be scared of but something that will grow your love for God immensely. It is something which will teach you about a God you may not know yet or about the God you already think you know.
Alpha was for me all that these few words say....
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7.7)

Who is Jesus?
Why did Jesus die?

Typically, Alpha includes food, a short talk about the Christian faith and also a time to share your thoughts and ask questions. There’s no pressure, follow-up or charge. If you don’t believe in God, you’ve given up on church or you’re just curious, Alpha is definitely for you.
