Peterborough Salvation Army

With heart to God and hand to man

Our Faith

The Salvation Army is a worldwide Christian church and charity. We put our beliefs into practice through a programme of practical action, serving our communities, supporting those in need and fighting for social justice. Over 60,000 people attend our churches on Sundays, and we run over 100 social services centres across the UK to transform the lives of homeless people, older people, families, and people with drug and alcohol addictions.

One of the most asked questions is "can anyone attend the Salvation Army?". The answer to this is a resounding YES. Many who attend our meetings (services) wear Salvation Army uniform but that is not a prerequisite for attendance or formal membership.

Our Mission  here in Peterborough is to

  • tell people about Jesus
  • grow people like Jesus
  • serve people for Jesus
